RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication (your preference!). These ‘feeds’ provide you with a list of articles delivered in real time throughout the day from various websites.
Bell Direct’s RSS feeds come from a range of syndicated news providers and include various topics. These news stories and updates are automatically delivered to you the moment they are published.

You can add or remove news feeds from your list. From the Quotes page, choose the ‘RSS Feeds’ tab and click the ‘+’ button where you select what you’d like from the list.

The ASX publishes announcements from every stock listed on the exchange. These announcements, in PDF format, are available via a live feed from the ASX on the Bell Direct website.

Announcements with the dollar symbol indicate the content relates to market-sensitive information.
You can also make comments about announcements by choosing the comments symbol and enjoy a conversation with other Bell Direct traders.
Not only can you customise your news feeds in the areas mentioned above, you can also customise the Watchscreen section of the Market Wrap overview page.
This is a very handy feature because it means you only see the information that relates to you and your interests. This is called ‘contextual information’, meaning it’s information that’s relevant to you.
On the market overview page (choose 'Quotes & news' from the top menu), you’ll see your watchscreens at the bottom of the page. The watchscreens can be for orders, your portfolio or your watchscreens (ie stocks you want to keep an eye on).
Each time you choose one of those tabs, you’ll notice that the updates on the far right show all the company announcements and business news items that are relevant to the chosen watchlist.

You can also customise your watchlists to show only the columns you want to see. Just choose the Customise button and then select the relevant column.

Choose ‘Market overview’ from the ‘Quotes & news’ menu on the top left of the screen. You’ll see the different tabs for News – Business News/RSS Feeds/Announcements in the middle left of the page.
Every time to look up a quote, you’ll see news and announcements in the top right of the page.

You can also view company announcements by stock code, announcement type (eg Chairman’s address, dividend announcements, etc) and by date.
How to find ‘Company announcements’ from the drop-down menu
Just go to the ‘Research & tools’ menu in the top of the screen and choose ‘Company announcements’.
You can search by stock code, announcement type, date and ‘market sensitive’ only.
