1 second Placement Guarantee

• What does the 1 second Placement Guarantee mean?
  
  When you place an eligible 'Market to limit' order we guarantee to place it onto the ASX in under 1 second – guaranteed. If not, your trade is free – you pay zero brokerage on that trade.

• Which orders are eligible for the 1 second Placement Guarantee?
  
  1. New 'Market to limit' orders, i.e. orders to buy or sell at the current market price at the time the order is placed
  2. The order is in relation to CHESS-sponsored:
     • Equities
     • Interest rate securities
     • Warrants or
     • Exchange Traded Options
  3. Orders which pass our Straight Through Processing filters set, as required to meet our ASX obligations
  4. Orders placed via our website, WebIRESS or iPhone App
  5. Orders received during ASX market trading hours, where the Security to be traded is in 'Open' status
• Which orders are excluded?
  
  • 'Limit' orders
  • 'Market to limit' orders which fail the Straight Through Processing (STP) filters test. This includes but is not limited to orders that fail the STP test due to multiple buy/sell orders for the same security
  • Orders placed via the telephone or SMS
  • Amendments and cancellations
  • Orders for non-CHESS Securities
  • Orders placed on margin lending trading accounts
  • Orders received when the market or stock is not in 'Open' status or normal trading
  • The 1 second Placement Guarantee does not apply to orders that are entered during communications or other systems interruptions
• How is placement time determined for the guarantee?
  
  Placement speed is calculated from the time Bell Direct accepts your order to the time of placement to the market.

  We'll display the details of your eligible orders in our Eligible Orders Scorecard. You'll see exactly which orders were subject to the guarantee and how they each fared.
