• What does WebIRESS offer?
  
  WebIRESS is a web-based application powered by the IRESS platform which is widely known in Australia as a provider of stockmarket data.

  Amongst the more popular features, WebIRESS gives you access to real time live and dynamic pricing updates for:

  • ASX Equities
  • Interest rate securities
  • Warrants
  • Global market indices (i.e. access to live international markets)

  WebIRESS also provides comprehensive security data including:

  • Dividends
  • Historical corporate actions
  • Company profiles and
  • Charting for technical analysis

  We have integrated WebIRESS with Bell Direct's platform to facilitate orders on all trading accounts linked to your login.

  You can also view Portfolio, Open Order and Fund information on your accounts.

  
• How much does it cost to use WebIRESS?
  
  For $79 per month you will have access to WebIRESS and our Gold information service.

  If you are already on the Gold information service and you upgrade to WebIRESS, you will receive a discount on the Gold fee.

  This is charged as a flat fee at the time of upgrade.

  For example, if you upgrade on June 10, you will be charged $79 for the remainder of June. If you upgrade on 28 June, you will be charged $79 for the remainder of June.

  Unfortunately this billing routine cannot be avoided as a charge is generated by our supplier when an upgrade to the WebIRESS service takes place.
• How do I access WebIRESS?
  
  You just need to upgrade your information service level to 'WebIRESS'.

• Can I place orders through WebIRESS?
  
  Yes. You can place orders through WebIRESS on any of the trading accounts linked to your login.

  In addition, you'll have access to Available Fund, Portfolio and Open Order information on these accounts.

  To obtain this information simply select the appropriate link under the 'Orders' menu.
• How do I launch WebIRESS?
  
  To launch WebIRESS simply select the WebIRESS icon displayed on the left hand side menu.

  
• Do I require additional software to use WebIRESS?
  
  WebIRESS is a web-based application so no additional software is required on your computer. However, your operating system will need to support browsers with Java enabled.

  Your computer should pass the 'connection' test (found at http://web.iress.com.au/info/connectiontest.htm) as well as meeting the following WebIRESS requirements:

  • A Pentium3 500MHZ class machine with a minimum of 256MB RAM
  • Any Microsoft windows operation system supported by Internet Explorer or Mozilla/Firefox with Java enabled
  • Sun Java 1.5.0_06 or above (to download visit www.java.com). To check if you have java, on your browser go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced. Scroll down and about halfway down there should be a java icon if you have java installed
  • At least a 15" colour monitor is required, but a 17" monitor is recommended. Resolution of greater than 1024 x 768 is required
  • A network connection quality of a 56k modem or above is required, but broadband is highly recommended
  • Personal firewall software will need to be configured to ensure that connection to WebIRESS is successful. Please ensure system network or personal firewalls are set to allow site '*iress.com.au' and port 6080 or 80. For more firewall information please visit http://web.iress.com.au/info/SecurityInfo.htm
• Will my Watchscreens set up in WebIRESS be viewable through Bell Direct website and vice versa?
  
  Unfortunately no. There is currently no integration between watchscreens in WebIRESS and our website.

  However, you can copy your existing watchscreens from our site and import them into WebIRESS by following the steps:

  • From the Bell Direct, open WebIRESS.
  • Right-click the watchscreen you want to copy & choose 'Copy'.
  • Open a 'Quote' screen on WebIRESS.
  • Choose the 'Watchlist' tab and then choose 'Import from Clipboard'. The data will populate the 'Quote screen'.
  • Choose the 'Watchlist' tab again and then choose 'Save As'.
  • Type in the name of your watchscreen in WebIRESS.
  • Repeat these steps for each watchlist (you can have up to five watchlists in WebIRESS).
• Can I still access market sensitive announcements in WebIRESS?
  
  Yes.

  However, please note that there is a difference in accessing market sensitive company announcements between WebIRESS and the Bell Direct website.

  Bell Direct allows access to these announcements as soon as they are released, however there is a 20 minute delay if you access them through your WebIRESS platform.
• How do I stop my access to WebIRESS?
  
  You can stop your access to WebIRESS in the 'My Account' page where you can downgrade to either our Gold or Silver level of information service.

  When you downgrade from WebIRESS you will still have access to it until the end of that month.
