{"id":6426,"date":"2020-10-02T09:05:33","date_gmt":"2020-10-01T23:05:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bdirectprod.wpenginepowered.com\/?post_type=video&#038;p=6426"},"modified":"2020-10-02T09:05:33","modified_gmt":"2020-10-01T23:05:33","slug":"morning-bell-2-october","status":"publish","type":"video","link":"https:\/\/belldirect.com.au\/insights\/videos\/morning-bell-2-october","title":{"rendered":"Morning Bell 2 October"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Aussie share market is eyeing a fall of 0.5% at the open.<\/p>\n<p>For the first day of October in the U.S. it was a bumpy one, with equities briefly dipping into the red after a U.S. stimulus vote was delayed to next Thursday, with traders hoping it would be done sooner.<\/p>\n<p>What to watch today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the economic side, retail sales are out today and are expected to fall 4.2%.<\/li>\n<li>The oil price has fallen 4% to US$38.<\/li>\n<li>Gold rebounded, lifting 0.9% to US$1,912.<\/li>\n<li>The iron ore price lifted 2%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Trading ideas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alumina (ASX:<a href=\"\/?s=AWC\">AWC<\/a>) was upgraded by Citi as a buy with a new $1.80 target.<\/li>\n<li>SSR Mining (ASX:SSR) was initiated as a UBS buy with a $33 target, following its merger with Alacer.<\/li>\n<li>Sezzle (ASX:SZL), Netwealth (ASX:<a href=\"\/?s=NWL\">NWL<\/a>) and Paradigm Biopharmaceuticals (ASX:PAR) are all showing bullish charting signals according to Trading Central.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Aussie share market is eyeing a fall of 0.5% at the open.
