March 25, 2020

The Aussie share market opened 6% higher at the open as the futures expected, following the ASX200’s 4.2% lift yesterday. All sectors are in the black with IT stocks up the most up 8.5% followed by Miners up 8.1%, Consumer Discretionary stocks up about 7% and Staples pushing up 2%, with that sector performing the strongest YTD.

Global equities rallied overnight with U.S citizens and traders rejoicing as the world’s largest economy is closer to getting a $2 trillion stimulus package, with lawmakers negotiating the spending bill that will help support America through COVID-19.

All eyes on Charter Hall (ASX:CHC), InvoCare (ASX:IVC), Wesfarmers (ASX:WES), Southern Cross Media (ASX:SXL), Cochlear (ASX:COH), Gold Road Resources (ASX:GOR) and St Barbara (ASX:SBM).
