Transcript: Weekly Wrap 24 May

Our local market fell 0.03% this week so far, with the consumer services sector falling 2.93%, followed by the consumer discretionary sector.

On the ASX200 leaderboard, Technology One (ASX:TNE) was the best performing stock, gaining 12.24%. Meanwhile, Eagers Automotive (ASX:APE) declined after the automotive dealer warned shareholders at its annual meeting that markets had slowed and profits were lower.

As for the most traded stocks by Bell Direct clients this week, these included Telsta Group (ASX:TLS), BHP Group (ASX:BHP), Westpac (ASX:WBC), Bellevue Gold (ASX:BGL) and Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure (ASX:DBI) . Clients also bought into Silex Systems (ASX:SLX), while taking profits from Pilbara Minerals (ASX:PLS), Aristocrat Leisure (ASX:ALL), Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) and NAB (ASX:NAB).

And the most traded ETFs by Bell Direct clients this week were the Vanguard US Total Market Shares Index ETF (ASX:VTS), the Vanguard Australian Shares Index ETF (ASX:VAS) and the Betashares Aus Top20 Equity Yield Max Fund (ASX:YMAX).

On Thursday, US GDP growth rate data will be released, then on Friday core PCE price index MoM in the US will be released.
